6 Fall Items You NEED

Okay, bye summer…

That was a quick turnaround.

As you know, I exclusively wear crop tops, so my stomach is now always covered in goosebumps.

But it’s not all bad, because I also have a list of things I LOVE about fall. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe, but this bikini-clad, boat-loving woman actually kinda likes fall… (but don’t tell anyone).

With #PSL everywhere you look (BTW, have you broken your 2019 #PSL virginity yet?) I figured it was time to do a fall favourites list.

Lets jump right in.

1. St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse + Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops
Just because I’m okay with it being fall DOES NOT mean I’m okay with the lack of tan I now have. I have a bronzed look I need to uphold.

I actually just went to a conference in NYC and used these two products to make sure I was dazzling all the speakers with my epic glow. PS – notice I didn’t say anything about being orange?! If anyone’s going to mess up on putting on self tanner, it’s me. So trust me, you’re in good hands with this stuff.

(BTW, because I am amazing, I filmed a whole video on how to apply self tanner just for you. Beause yes. It’s a complicated world out there).

2. Burton Hearth Fleece Pullover

GUYS. If you didn’t know yet, FLEECE IS IN. Call it the bike shorts of fall.

Burton released a ton of gorgeous patterns and prints including THIS epic pullover. Yes, it’s perfect for all the mountain climbing you do. Or, more realistically, to throw over yourself for your coffee run on a brisk fall Sunday morning 😉

Fleece always makes me feel so cozy and comfy, and this sweater is nooo exception. Make sure to go check out all their fun and funky colors! Mine is a size small in Gray Heather but the True Black is always a classic.

3. Steve Madden Combat Boots

I am a FAN of leather lace up boots. Oh yes. One of my favorite parts of fall, hands down. I got a pair of Steve Madden lace ups last year, and got so many compliments on them that I knew I had to include them in this list! The ones I linked are not the exact same (mine are from 2018) but veryyyy similar.

Not only are they super cute and go with everything, but are also ultra-light and make all of my cross-city treks easy and comfy. And when it starts snowing, I wear them with chunky socks and my feet stay nice and toasty.

4. Beekeeper’s Naturals Propolis Throat Spray

Sorry this one isn’t thatttt exciting, but it’s 10000% one of my more recent finds that I’m obsessed with. Since the weather can’t make up its mind, and now that it’s flu season, I take this whenever I wake up with even the slightest tickle in my throat.

So what is propolis you ask? It’s a sticky sap-type of substance bees make to use as a coating for their hives — and let me tell you, it coats your throat like a dream. A 2017 study showed that propolis has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal benefits, which means it can help relieve your cold symptoms. A couple a sprays per day and you’ll stop sickness in its tracks!

5. Lululemon Everyday Bag

I know, I know. Fanny packs are really where it’s at these days. But I can’t fit all my knickknacks in those little things! Between my phone, giant water bottle, and booty bands, my bag is packed and ready for action no matter where I am. This bag is just a bit bigger than a fanny pack, but is still light, keeps me hands-free, and gives me easy access to my essentials.

Whether I’m dancing up a storm or travelling in the desert, this bag does everything I need it to. I also think Lulu just released it in a bunch of beautiful deep colours so you’ll be bringing the fall vibes wherever you go!

6. Cauliflower Everything

Roasted. Riced. Mashed. Cauli has my heart. I can eat it all ways and every day, and still make it exciting. One new way I’m cooking my cauli this season is whole. Yep. Just a big ol’ hunk of cauliflower, roasted in the oven.

If you haven’t done this before, you’re missing out because 1) not only does it cook perfectly every time, but 2) it requires the least amount of prep! Just trim the green leaves off and you’re good to go girl! I love the spice blend in this recipe, but feel free to mix it up. Serve it with hummus and a salad for the ultimate cozy dinner.
