Seafolly Swimwear & Sleepless Nights

Seafolly Swimwear & Sleepless Nights

This month is a seriouslyyyyy stressful one for me.

Although I said that back in January when I completely rebranded and changed my website. I also felt it in March, weeks before I came out with my e-book. Thankfully, February was generally kind enough to me.

In my day to day job I work in insurance in the marine department (boats, boats, BOATS)! Since it is such a small department, it’s only myself and my boss doing all the work. As life happens, he told me a few months ago that he would be leaving for a month for paternity leave. However, that month came a week sooner than expected, and suddenly, I find myself waist deep in work.

My phone is constantly ringing, I have 3x more emails than before, and obviously the workload has increased as well.

If this was the only hiccup in my routine, things would be fine. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind at all. Unfortunately though, it’s not just that.

Recently my sleep schedule has been slowly deteriorating, for reasons that I can’t figure out. The past few weeks I’ve been lying awake in bed until 3, 4, even 5 am. Can you imagine going to bed at 4 am just to wake up 3 hours later? And go to work? Where you’re basically in charge? It’s been freaking hard.

Thankfully, one of the things that really cheered me up a couple weeks ago and took my mind off things, was receiving two gorgeous bikinis from Seafolly. Seafolly is based out of Australia (the epicentre of all great swimwear) and is one of the most popular and recognized beach lifestyle brands in the world. I’ve wanted a Seafolly bathing suit ever since I clapped eyes on one back in 2012.

Since summer is not here JUST yet, I needed another way to show off my fav new swimsuit. ANSWER: our condo hot tub!

Is this the hot tub that was shut down for half the year last year? Maybe. Is this the same hot tub that Adam may have gotten a cold from? Perhaps. But does it relax me and make me want to catch up on some sleep as I close my eyes and lean back? Hell yesss. No more questions asked.

My ultimate fav bikini is the Jungle Out There suit (above). Mostly because I saw Gigi Hadid wearing it, and she looked insane. I absolutely love the cut of the top – it’s very sporty, yet unique and flattering. The pattern comes in several different top and bottom styles, but you know me – I like to show a little cheek. However there are more coverage options available, including a super cute one piece.

The other bikini that I received was the Mesh About Sports Bikini. I seriously suggest checking it out, because their entire mesh line is to DIE for. Although the bottoms fit a little bit tighter than I hoped for (probably could have gone for a size 8), I love the cut and color. Again, the top is athletic which I LOVE, because it combines the sexiness of a bikini while enhancing my athletic body type.

Totally late, but sorry to hear about your sleep problems! I’ve recently started taking melatonin and it seems to be helping with my inability to sleep at night. It doesn’t knock me out like sleeping pills would, but it definitely helps calm my mind and when I do fall asleep I wake up ridiculously refreshed. It’s almost always on sale at Shoppers so you should give it a try.

Also, those bikini’s are bae and just made it to the top of my summer shopping list <3
